Checco e Lina′s restaurant in Rome serves typical cuisine from Rome and Le Marche, and is located near Porta Pia, close to the Aurelian Walls, behind the Pincio Gardens, and adjacent to Villa Borghese.
It′s a family-owned business that began in 1982, taking over one of the oldest dairies in the capital. Initially, it started off as a coffee bar, becoming a favourite gathering place for local residents. In 2001, the decision was made to transform it into a small restaurant catering to a clientele that appreciates healthy, simple and tasty dishes rooted in tradition.
Today, Checco and Lina, along with their son Valter, continue to run the business. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner until 11 PM and provides a welcoming indoor dining area as well as an outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery.

OUR CUISINE
We use only high-quality ingredients expertly prepared following "grandmother′s recipes".
Our Italian appetizers include cold cuts and cheeses, as well as light fried dishes. For the first courses, you can enjoy "vincisgrassi" from Le Marche, and Roman classics like carbonara, "gricia," "cacio e pepe," and "matriciana."
Among the main courses, regional meat and fish preparations are our speciality, such as "abbacchio allo scottadito," tripe, Roman-style chicken, mixed fried seafood, and cod fillets. Naturally, there are also vegetable-based dishes, like the famous Roman-style artichokes.
All of this is complemented by a very good selection of wines. To finish, we serve a wide variety of homemade desserts.
To ensure the utmost freshness, fish is served only on Tuesdays and Fridays. pesc
